The Esplanade Gardens is a family run guesthouse built in the Victorian era; a Scarborough guest house of great charm and warm hospitality in an outstanding location. We are open all year round and provide attractively decorated clean comfortable rooms all with flat screen TV's freeview and dvd. The Esplanade Gardens Guest House is situated just 200 yards from the cliff lift down to the Spa Complex and just a 15 minute walk from the town centre and glorious harbour. We are also ideally located for those wanting to enjoy the famed Italian Gardens and are overlooked by Oliver?s Mount. A free parking permit on your arrival means you can park near the hotel without any restrictions. Please note that one night stays requiring a parking permit before the check in time of 2pm can obtain a permit from the hotel at a small charge of ?2 for the day. For those wishing to explore the delights of the region beyond Scarborough we are within easy reach of Whitby York and beautiful Ryedale as well as all the attractions historic sites and activities that abound in Yorkshire. For many visitors though Scarborough and our lovely neighbouring towns of Filey and Bridlington offer more than enough to fill a short break weekend away or full holiday. From York: On the A64 as you approach Scarborough, you will see Halfords and BandQ on the right. Turn right just after Tops Tiles at the traffic lights. Follow the road up to the traffic lights. Turn left onto:(from the south).From the South: Filey Road going into Scarborough(A165). You will see a church on your right(South Cliff Methodist Church), you need to turn right immediately after the church onto Esplanade Gardens. We are about 50 yards down this road on your right.From the North: on A171, follow signs to the town centre and then take the (A165) towards Filey. Cross the Valley bridge(green bridge) and carry on up the hill to Ramshill. Go through the traffic lights and take the first left just before the (South Cliff Methodist church) onto Esplanade Gardens.
